WICZ, the Fox affiliate in Binghamton, N.Y., has acquired ClassX real-time broadcast graphics creation, playout and social sharing software from FOR-A.
The purchase makes the station the first ClassX customer for the graphics suite of 2- and 3-D character generation, live motion graphics, graphics playout and social sharing.
In March, FOR-A and Class-X entered into a joint partnership making FOR-A the exclusive dealer of ClassX products in North, South and Central America. The deal also makes it possible for users to integrate the ClassX graphics suite into For-A production switchers.
WICZ’s purchase includes ClassX CastaliaCG software, LiveBoard, a graphics playout solution, and SocialServer, for social network interaction, said a For-A press release.
The station is integrating the ClassX software with its Super Ticker broadcast news ticker from Ontario, Canada-based Bannister Lake, the company said.
