WUCF, the public broadcaster serving Orlando and central Florida, will join other stations around the country in airing hourly live news and Japanese lifestyle programming, produced in English, from NHK World TV. (NHK is the Japan Broadcasting Corp.)
The station will begin airing the programming May 8. NHK World TV is a 24/7 public TV network with original programming from NHK. Programming includes hourly live international news from Tokyo and news bureaus around the world.
WUCF joins stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington, Seattle, Denver, Charlotte, N.C., and Baltimore in airing NHK World TV programming. OTA viewers can see the programming on OTA channel 24.4 in central Florida as well as on Comcast and Spectrum.
