WBOC, a CBS and Fox duopoly serving the Delmarva Peninsula which includes parts of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, added a new Rohde & Schwarz THU9 high-efficiency, liquid-cooled transmitter in January 2015 to improve the service it delivers to about a half-million area residents.
The new transmitter increased the signal strength of the station by 13 dB, or about a 20-fold increase.
Rohde & Schwarz has just published a case study; it’s available on the company’s website.
