Waterman Broadcasting has purchased Baron’s newly introduced Lynx to enhance graphics and extend its reach to multiple platforms at its Fort Myers, Fla., NBC affiliate WBBH and WZVN, the ABC affiliate which it operates through an LMA with Montclair Communications.
Baron and the broadcaster have a long history together. The company currently provides Waterman Broadcasting with radar, digital tools, graphics and exclusive weather analysis.
Waterman Broadcasting inked the deal for Baron Lynx on the show floor of the 2016 NAB Show last month in Las Vegas, Baron said in a press release.
Baron Lynx will give Waterman a “different look than other computer systems in the market” and will “provide an easier, faster path for making interesting graphics on a day-to-day basis when time is a premium,” according to WBBH Chief Meteorologist Haley Webb.
Waterman Broadcasting also will use Baron Lynx to enhance its social media presence by delivering Lynx-generated content to social channels instantly.
