Waterman Broadcasting is updating its camera fleet with 33 GY-HM890 and 11 GY-HM660 JVC ProHD cameras that will be used for the co-located news operations of WBBH (NBC) and WZVN (ABC) in Fort Myers-Naples, Fla., JVC said today.
Together, the stations produce 14 hours of local news per day.
Waterman also acquired a JVC BR-800 ProHD Broadcaster to support live IP ENG reporting. The Broadcaster server, which relies on Zixi encoding, receives and manages incoming IP streams from multiple ProHD and 4KCAM cameras.
Multimedia journalists will be equipped with the new GY-HM660 cameras; the GY-HM890s not assigned to the field will be used in the studio.
