The University of Miami Athletics Department has built two new control rooms and purchased a portable production system to handle coverage of the university’s various sports.
The new control rooms and studios were designed by Panasonic and outfitted with Panasonic cameras, production switchers and three one-box graphics solutions from Vizrt, a Vizrt press release says.
The facilities were put in place in time for coverage of the 2015 fall sports season. Twenty-three broadcasts of volleyball and soccer using the Vizrt graphics systems are currently scheduled for broadcast on ESPN3.
Vizrt technology includes three Viz Trio character generators, three Viz Multiplay multiscreen controllers. One is tightly integrated with a NewTek TriCaster, which will be used for live remote production.
