Dolby Laboratories this week announced its third major commitment from a television manufacturer to promote the adoption of its Dolby AC-4 audio format in next-generation TVs for OTA and OTT reception.
Top Victory Investments, which manufacturers Philips-branded televisions around the world, excluding North America, India and mainland China, will collaborate with Dolby on the adoption of the new format.
The announcement follows commitments from Sony Visual Products and Vizio to promote Dolby AC-4, Dolby said.
Dolby AC-4 is currently available for product development and is targeted for release to consumers in 2017.
