Avid Technology joined the Russell 3000 Index on June 26 at the conclusion of the Russell indexes annual reconstitution, the company said today.
The Russell 3000 is a stock market index that measures the performance of 3,000 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States. Membership in the Russell 3000 remains in place for one year.
The annual Russell indexes reconstitution captures the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization, which is the number of traded shares multiplied by the share price.
The Russell 3000 represents about 98% of the U.S. equity market. Avid Technology trades on the Nasdaq under the stock symbol AVID.
