With so many companies providing hardware and software products to television broadcasters, it’s hard to keep up on all of them.
Such was the case of Vector 3. I recently received a phone call from Van Duke, who has taken on the role of sales manager in the U.S. office of Vector 3, which has more than 25 years of experience developing playout solutions in use by some 1,000 broadcasters worldwide.
Duke joined Vector 3 to help solidify the company’s presence in the United States by responding to the demand for automated playout solutions from U.S. broadcasters.
According to Duke, the company will be showing some new and improved software at the 2015 NAB Show, including:
- Media Manger Suite, a workflow engine for playout and master control;
- MRC Client, which allows operations personnel to control channels from anywhere in the world as if they were seated in master control;
- MultiChannel Monitor, a timeline display allowing monitoring of all channels in a horizontal time line and mouse click control; and
- 4K video playout.
