Frontline Communications and TVU Networks will unveil a new IP newsgathering vehicle that combines cellular, microwave and satellite technologies for contribution Aug. 7 at the Texas Association of Broadcasters in Austin, Texas.
The technology package, called the Frontline IPVS, or IP Video Solution, has at its heart the TVU MLink rack-mountable IP uplink transmitter.
The device uses TVU’s Inverse StatMux technology to aggregate at the same time IP data connections from satellite, microwave and cellular networks to transmit live HD video with latency of less than a second.
The IPVS is available from Frontline in four different vehicle platforms including, the Nissan NV, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and SUV broadcast vehicles.
