Rundown Creator, a web app for TV, radio and internet broadcasters to create production rundowns, is now fully integrated with NewTek’s lineup of TriCaster multi camera video production systems.
With the integration, broadcasters can now insert titles, graphics, audio clips and video clips in Rundown Creator, and play them out on a TriCaster using a specialized playout controller, which can manage up to 20 channels, including two graphics inputs, 15 framebuffers, two DDRs and an audio player.
“We are very excited about Rundown Creator’s TriCaster integration, not only because it’s a valuable addition to our many TriCaster customers worldwide, but also because it’s a great example of the power and flexibility of the SDK platform that NewTek offers to developers who want to integrate with our products,” Andrew Cross, CTO at NewTek, said in a statement.
Rundown Creator is a newsroom system similar to AP ENPS, Avid iNews and now Ross Video’s Inception News, except it’s completely cloud-based and accessed through a web browser. The price broadcaster pays each month for the system depends on the size of operation, but according to the company, plans can start as low as $36 per month.
It’s now being used by MLB.com, The New York Times, NBCUniversal and CNN Latino.
NewTek currently offers four models in its TriCaster lineup.
