Weather technology company Baron Services has hired Glen Denny as director of digital sales.
Denny has experience in the weather technology marketplace, as he has worked for WSI Corp. and Internet Broadcasting.
Ardell Hill, president broadcast operations of Baron Services, said, “(Denny’s) knowledge and customer relationships in both digital and broadcast mediums make him the ideal person to represent our unique, patented array of digital offerings and drive our focus on our customers.”
Denny will focus on Baron’s entire suite of digital products, including specialized content for web and mobile offerings.
At this year’s NAB Show, Baron showed off Omni Weather 4.0, which Hill said brings a much-needed graphics boost to its weather broadcast solution.
“The depth and level of expertise in our graphics has really accelerated…. They look like they were produced in a New York art house. They’re a product of our folks working with the stations to see what they want them to look like,” Hill told TVNewsCheck in April.
